Lack of Services for Returning Soldiers Demonstrates Need for Brain Injury Awareness and Advocacy (Mar 12)

Chemical Cues Turn Embryonic Stem Cells Into Cerebellar Neurons (Mar 19)
A study in mice by Rockefeller University scientists shows that embryonic stem cells implanted in the brain appear to develop into fully differentiated granule neurons, the most plentiful neuron in the cerebellum.

Hospitalization for Serious Head Injuries Rising Again (Mar 26)
Hospital admissions for the most serious category of head injury – Type 1 traumatic brain injury – increased nearly 38 percent between 2001 and 2004 after a decade of decline.
