Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine have demonstrated that living human nerve cells can be engineered into a network that could one day be used for transplants to repair damaged to the nervous system.

Regeneration Initiative Enables Nerve Cells on a Computer Chip to Heal and Regrow Damaged Nerves (Mar 17)
The Western Canada Regeneration Initiative has been awarded a $2.25 million team grant to study how best to heal and regrow nerves that have been damaged by injury or disease.
