Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury Found To Be Significant U.S. Health Resource Burden (Aug 28)

n analysis was conducted of data from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project Kids' Inpatient Database from January 1 through December 31, 2000, which included 2,784 hospitals in 27 states.

More than 309,000 Sports-Related Head Injuries Treated in ERs in 2005 (Aug 7)

According to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the most recent statistics indicate that there were an estimated 64,500 bicycling-related head injuries treated in United States hospital emergency rooms in 2005.
