NEW RESEARCH ARTICLES ON THE WEB SITE
1. Alcoholics May Be More Injury Prone Than Illicit Drug Users

with alcohol problems seem more injury prone, including head injury, than people who use illicit
drugs.

http://www.neuroskills.com/pr-alcohol.shtml
2. Neural Stem Cells Move to Damaged Areas of Brain After Injury
Primitive neural cells in the brains of laboratory rats respond to acute brain injuries by moving to
the injured area and attempting to form new neurons, according to University of Michigan
researchers. Understanding how this self-repair mechanism works could someday help physicians reduce
brain damage.
