1. Protein Linked To Brain Cell Scarring After Injury (7/07)

A new study links a protein discovered a few years ago with formation of scar tissue that occurs
after injury to nerve cells in the brain or spinal cord.

2. Relevance of Headache in Evaluating Concussion Recovery in High School Athletes (7/12)

Any degree of post-concussion headache in high school athletes even one week after injury likely is
associated with incomplete recovery, indicating the need to keep the athlete from returning to
contact play until headache and all other post-concussion symptoms resolve.
